It was narrated from Abu Hurairah RA that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “The poor believers will enter Paradise half a day – five hundred years – before the rich.’”
(Sunan Ibn Majah – Vol. 5, Book 37, Hadith 4122).
How comforting this message is. While the rich continue to enjoy the pleasures of this world, it is a harder struggle for them to enter Paradise even though they were believers.
But the poor believers need only stay on the right path and are guaranteed earlier/faster passage into paradise.
