The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev. Tor Uja has said that Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria will be a life transforming exercise. He made this known in Abuja while playing host to the National Leadership of Full Gospel Men Business Fellowship.
He assured his guests that he would not fail the Lord in carrying out the assignment of the Commission as He was the one that made his appointment possible. His words, “I will not fail the Lord, I will do things that will honour God.”
Rev. Uja admitted that this country is presently passing through difficult situation some of which are natural and man-made. His words, “this country is passing through patches, but it is temporary.”
He stressed that Nigeria has a lot for the Youths and that no nation in the world has close to that. He cited example with the 3,500 chapters of the Full Gospel Men Fellowship in Nigeria, the highest ever in the world. He urged the men of God to believe in Nigeria and to project this nation because all will be well.
Rev. Uja further stressed the need for this country to begin to honour leaders who have made their marks in their various leadership positions in life. To this effect, he promised to honour past leaders of the pilgrimage managers in Nigeria soon to appreciate them of their contribution to the cause of pilgrimage in Nigeria. Specifically, he said the Commission would organize a befitting send forth for the immediate past Executive Secretary of NCPC, John Kennedy Opara.
Earlier, the National President of the Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship (FGBMF), Arc. Ifeanyi Odedo said that a cross section of Members of the FGBMF were in NCPC to congratulate the NCPC Boss and to thank God for appointing one of their own as the Executive Secretary of NCPC.
He assured the NCPC Boss that he would not fail in his new assignment but would excel and do greater things during his tenure in office, because the Lord had brought him to NCPC at this material time for a purpose.
He prayed that “from this office, revelation will begin to flow and NCPC will become a solution ground, describing it as a new era”.
Mr. Odedo reminded the NCPC Chief Executive that he is an Ambassador of the Most High God and thus would not lack anything, saying that pilgrimage to Israel is actually God’s idea.
According to the National President: “we have come to make a pledge that we shall be praying for you, any counsel that we know will bring about progress we will pass it over to you.” He assured his host that the 3,500 chapters of the Fellowship are solidly behind him.
He equally stated that “henceforth Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria will be a spiritual revival.” He prayed that the Lord would give the Executive Secretary a formidable team of men and women who would work with him in righteousness
