Four persons were seriously injured in Oruk Anam council of Akwa Ibom State as they attempted to snatch ballot boxes, where voting was still going on till Sunday morning.
An INEC ad hoc staff, Unyime Udoesen, told newsmen yesterday that they scampered into the bush for safety, from where they called Army personnel who came to restore normalcy for voting to continue in the community.
Non-availability and late arrival of materials apparently marred the smooth conduct of the polls in so many units in the state as voting continued into the night.
This happened as the Police have arrested four political thugs for allegedly snatching ballot boxes in Abak town, headquarters of Abak local government area.
