Police Console Families Of Beheaded Lagos Inspectors

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has led the management team of the command to commiserate with the families of two inspectors allegedly killed by some militants.

The victims were identified as Inspector Rufai Adamu and Inspector Akubo Emmanuel.

PUNCH Metro learnt that they were killed on November 25, 2021, in Anambra State.

“Inspr Rufai Adamu and Inspr Akubo Emmanuel, until their death, displayed a high standard of discipline, humility, great commitment and unparallel dedication to duty, which distinguished them among their colleagues.

“These admirable attributes characterised their career in the force and will remain indelible in our memory,” a condolence letter to the families stated.

PUNCH Metro gathered that Adamu and Emmanuel were on their way to Owerri, Imo State, when the hoodlums ambushed the bus conveying them and other passengers at Anambra State.

Following the ambush, seven persons, including the two inspectors, were abducted.

While four of the seven abducted victims regained their freedom, the two inspectors were killed; the whereabouts of one other victim remained unknown.
