Etukudoh in a letter noted that the former Akwa Ibom first lady had touched the lives of many orphans and widows across the country.

He writes, “On behalf of my family and the management of Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology (Science), Jos, I deeply extend our warmest felicitations on your outstanding recognition and conferment with Africa’s most respected Award, the Year 2020 Zik Leadership Prize for Humanitarian Service.

“Having witnessed your many life-touching programmes and projects in the direction to uplift the underprivileged persons, women, youths and children in our nation, we are not in any way surprised that this award is coming to you.

“We believe that your selfless effort particularly towards the widows and orphans coupled with the deliberate intervention programmes for other vulnerable persons represent an unwavering commitment and passion for modest contribution to the development of the society.

We earnestly desire this accomplishment would, therefore, bring not only tremendous hope and encouragement to you but a truest sense of greater responsibility. We are confident that with this great milestone, you will continue to allow your selfless spirit to take root while making the mandate of humanity a greater priority.

We do appreciate the fact that such a remarkable feat would not have been attained without the understanding, support and uncanny wisdom of your very dependable and inspirational ally, your husband, Uko Akwa Ibom, Senator Godswill O. Akpabio.”
