PZ Cusson empowers families with N5m, other prizes

The PZ Cusson Nigeria has empowered some families with the sum of N5 million in its 5th anniversary edition of the Cussons Baby Moments Competition 2018.The grand finale held recently in Lagos with the tag, ‘The Magic Finale’ crowned Baby Zoe Ekwegh the winner of the edition who carted home a grand prize of N1 million education grant and one year supply of Cusson baby products.

The competition which saw over 4,000 participants with over one million entries received on its platform came down to 10 finalists after careful assessment by judges in the screening stages.

The First Runner Up, Chiemezikam Royalty Mackalunta, took home N750,000 education grant and a year’s supply of Cussons baby products while the Second Runner Up, Busolami Odugbemi, walked away with 350,000 education grant and a year’s supply of Cussons baby products.

Speaking on this year’s competition and the achievements of the Cussons Baby brand, the Managing Director, PZ Cussons Nigeria, Alex Goma, said this year’s event provided a unique opportunity for the Cussons’s Baby Moments Competition to further establish itself as the most recognised Nigerian family competition.

“The Cussons Baby Moments Competition has grown with each year and today you can see how much, we have not only expanded to include the families, we have also created an award statuette that symbolises the bond the brand has helped these families build,” he said.

Also sharing his excitement on yet another successful edition of the Cussons Baby Moments Competition, the Brand Manager, Cussons Baby, Tobi Oyenekan, congratulated all the winners and thanked everyone who was part of the anniversary edition, as well as all the contestants who entered into the competition.

“We wanted to have a memorable anniversary edition and I believe we’ve been able to achieve that today. Cussons Baby Moments has defied all odds to remain consistent over the years, creating magical memories with amazing families across the country and we will continue to do so for many more years to come.

“Cussons Baby, a global brand, is one of the strongest brands in the baby toiletries category in Africa and has been in existence in the African/Nigerian market for more than four decades providing solutions for mothers and the skin care needs of their babies,” he said.

In the Special Categories awards, five winners of different categories, Oluwatuase Oluwatimilehin, Arthur Efemena, Godson Akhaba, Munachimso Chinagorom and Nathan Kigsley received 50,000 gift vouchers each and a 3 months’ supply of Cussons Baby products.

The second edition of the Best Video category saw Baby Bryan Kasakwe emerge winner with N150,000 cash prize and 3 months’ supply of Cussons Baby products.Also N150,000 and three months’ supply of Cussons Baby products was won by Innocent Okafor’s Family from Port Harcourt, who emerged the National winner in the Cussons Baby Moments Family Challenge.

The brand also recognized the devotion and determination of some adult members of the family towards campaigning for their baby in a bid to win the Baby of the Year contest through the Family Special Award.The Okennwa’s family from Jigawa state won this award, taking home N200, 000 cash prize and 3 months’ supply of Cussons Baby products.
