Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) Nigeria will convene a business conference on June 7, as part of its fifth anniversary celebrations in the country, with the theme: “Connecting the Building Blocks to Drive Inclusive and Sustainable Growth: Investment and Economic Diversification”.

According to the bank, the downturn in the oil price over the past five years, coupled with changing global trade policies and the emergence of alternative regional economic destinations, has once again highlighted the need for the nation’s economy to diversify beyond the production of oil.

The conference aims to engage industry participants- investors, corporates and policymakers in a dialogue on the principal building blocks, which drive investment and economic growth in Nigeria.

It will as well, discuss lessons learnt by experienced captains of industry, which have influenced investment and economic diversification in the country.

The keynote speakers are Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and the Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Okey Enelamah, with two panel sessions featuring the International Monetary Fund’s Senior Resident Representative, Amine Mati, among others.
