The Education Committee of Rt. Hon. Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni Education Foundation, is pleased to announce the new scholarship opportunities for Indigenous students of Lagos Island Constituency 1 who have just gained admission into any tertiary institution within the country.
Rt. Hon Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni who is the Deputy Speaker Lagos State Office, has through this Education Foundation awarded hundreds of scholarships to students during his first tenure.
The Scholarship included, yearly financial support of a N100,000 token to each student, a N960,000 to an impaired student of Bethesda School (School for the Blind) who gained admission into the University of Nigeria to study Social Science/Education, sponsorship of students who were admitted into Lagos State University, and a yearly distribution of free GCE/UTME Forms for prospective candidates. All in his Constituency.
Moreso, ten out of hundreds of beneficiaries in the last scholarship exercise will continue to benefit from this scheme this year, after submitting proofs of passing the examinations in their various institutions.
This year’s scholarship is strictly for students who have already gained admission into 2019/2020 Academic Session and have procured the following requirements; a letter of admission, copy of their WASC result, Secondary School Testimonial or its related document, birth certificate and LASSRA ID.
Application Forms can be picked either at the Office of the Deputy Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly or Hon. Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni Constituency Office between June 24th to July 5th, 2019.
The Education Committee was established to offer educational support to indigenous students of Lagos Island Constituency 1 who performed excellently well at the UTME and already gained admission into a tertiary institutions.
The goal of the scholarship is to promote philanthropic spirit among students of his constituency as a form of motivation and succour to the parents.
Deputy Speaker reiterated his commitment to improving the lives of the people in his constituency especially the leaders of tomorrow through empowerment, job creations, financial and educational supports.
He has supported the schools within his constituency with relevant educational materials and equipments, including rehabilitation and renovation facilities, writing materials, luxury school buses, modern computers that are helping to enrich and advance learning.
Hon. Eshilokun is dedicated to serving his constituency with good representation and excellent stewardship.
