Social media critic Japheth Omojuwa has said Senate’s invitation of the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris shows that they (Senate) does not care about Nigerians.
The IG was summoned by the lawmakers over the travails of Senator Dino Melaye, adding that it also shows that Idris is incompetent.
In a tweet on Thursday, Omojuwa noted that, “Thousands of Nigerians have died & the Senate never summoned the IG to appear before it.
“Now, one of their own has police issues and the grossly incompetent IG has now been summoned. If you ever thought these representatives are there for the people’s sake, at least, think again!”
