A lecturer at the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Dr Olayeye Aduwo, on Monday denied the sex-for-marks allegations levelled against him.

Aduwo, a lecturer in the Department of Accounting, alleged that   a female student, who he alleged brought some hoodlums to assault him at his residence in Ado Ekiti on June 12,   made the allegation to dent his reputation.

In a video that went viral, Aduwo, who was accused of attempting to have sex with one of his female students for marks, was subjected to torture.

But the  don, who had  kept  his lips sealed  over the incident, said on Monday he would  take legal action  after the police and the panel set up by EKSU over the issue  had concluded their  investigations.

He said the student was his daughter’s friend, adding that he was her guardian.

The lecturer said, “I cannot really understand her motive for the act.

“I was in my house that fateful day, June 12, between 9pm and 10pm when the girl knocked on my door.

“I was about to have dinner with my friend, Mr Allen Akinmudiro, when she came in and said that she wanted to see me briefly for assistance. In fact, the three of us had dinner together.

“It was after the dinner that the lady signalled to some hoodlums who invaded my house and wasted no time in rough handling me and my friend. They stripped me naked in my sitting room and subjected me to torture.”

Aduwo, who said he had no choice but to obey the hoodlums not to lose his life, said all efforts by his landlord and neighbours to rescue him failed as they were threatened by the hoodlums? [PUNCH]
