Senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Comrade Shehu Sani, is likely to be defeated by his main challenger, Uba Sani, of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Shehu Sani had polled 51 votes on Saturday in his own polling unit, while Uba Sani, scored 236 votes.
Shehu Sani, who is seeking re-election to the Senate under the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) said yesterday that those who voted for him defied inducement.

Though, INEC is yet to announce the official results but unconfirmed results favoured APC followed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as he may likely loss his seat at the National Assembly.
On his Facebook page, Shehu Sani said: “We remain proud of those who defy inducement and voted for us. Each of our vote is honestly earned and remains a mark of our honour. We got our votes not because of anyone but ourselves. We thank all men and women of principles, dignity and courage who worked for the campaigns through the elections.”
