Gbagyichild Entertainment, producers of TARUWA, is performing another of its classics, the hilarious stage play Shift Lemme Faint! It opened yesterday at Terra Kulture Arena, with its command performance taking place today, Sunday, October 15, with Abuja performances billed for next weekend.

The play is a set of witty monologues, written by some of Nigeria’s finest writers, depicting life in Nigeria and adapted into a stage production. These monologues and conversations are about the peculiarities of being Nigerian. In other words, our ridiculousness as Nigerians, because, as we like to say, “We Nigerians are special!”

The play is hilarious and explores subjects like religion, police, parenting, food, our culture and lifestyle and, of course, going down memory lane. All these will be explored with brilliantly written dramatic monologues, infused with beautiful music and dance and interpreted by stellar actors that include Beverly Naya (Wedding Party), Akah Nnani (Banana Island Ghost), Najite Dede (Ojos in the House), Omoye Uzamere (Aduke Hotel), and Daniel Effiong (Gidi Up).

Abuja show hold Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd, October 2017 at Merit Hall, Maitama, Abuja. Time is 4pm and 7pm each day. Support for the performance come Inspiration FM, Pulseng, Art for a Reason Africa and Olorisypergal.Shift Lemme Faint is curated and produced by Lydia Idakula Sobogun and directed by Kenneth Uphopho.
