The People Democractic Party, PDP disclosed that they have concluded discussion with six APC governors and 27 members of APC in National Assembly that may defect to their party any time from now.
In a statement by the National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Mr Kola Ologbodiyan in Abuja on Wednesday, the party stated that the governors and the national assembly members would publicly make their intention to defect from the ruling party to PDP in few weeks.
He disclosed that the defection of the lawmakers to their party would take place after the reconvening of the session of the two chambers.

He said, “In line with the decisions reached at the discussions, the members of the National Assembly defecting to the PDP will cross-carpet at the reconvening of the session in the two chambers, which will increase the PDP majority in both chambers.
“The party wishes to assure its members that all grey areas of the agreement, including issues of waivers and accommodation of participants in primaries, are being smoothened out by the former Governor Liyel Imoke-led PDP Contact and Integration Committee, which has been galvanizing our alliances among stakeholders across other parties including those of APC. The PDP also commends the spirit of tolerance, dialogue, accommodation and oneness of purpose that pervades the alliance among members.
He implored members and supporters of the party to be steadfast and be cautious of the antics of APC and their sponsored publications. He said, “be wary of the gimmicks of the deflated APC, which has resulted to sponsoring spurious publications filled with deceptions, fabrications and lies against our party”.
