Sotimirin to perform Molue, launch book on October 21

Nigeria’s foremost solo dramatist, musician and lecturer, Tunji Sotimirin will on October 21 launch a book on solo performance and also perform his play titled, Molue.

The twin event holds at the National Theatre, Cenima Hall I from 2pm.According to the founder of Konkere Beats, Molue is a solo drama of comic sketches that depicts the chaotic situation of our daily life in Lagos.

He said: “I am just booking the play in book form, having performed it at different theatres within and outside the country.” Guests expected at the occasion are: Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe (Chief host); Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Wale Babalakin; and Pro-chancellor, University of Lagos.

Others include, Oba Gbenga Sonuga, the Fadesewa of Simawa; Mother of the day, Senator Kofoworola Bucknor Akerele; Mr. Babafemi Ojudu, Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters; Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences commission (ICPC), Special Guest of Honour, Mr. Tunji Bello, Secretary to Lagos State Government.

Special guest launcher, Mr. Toye Arulogun, Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Oyo State; Special Guest of Honour, Bashorun Olumuyiwa Oladipupo, Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Ogun State; Mr. Steve Ayorinde, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Lagos State, Mr. Ladi Lawanson, Hon. Commissioner for Transport, Lagos State, Chief Gani Adams, Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubalnd, among others.
