Taraba Commissioner Dies After Undislosed Brief Illness

Tragedy as Commissioner for Rural Electrification, Alexander Markus Senlo reportedly lost his life after a brief illness.

Senlo, a former local government council chairman and two-time commissioner died in a Yola hospitalĀ on Monday April 6.

Reacting to the tragic incident, the State Commissioner for information, Danjuma Adamu confirmed the news, said that Senlo died after falling ill three days ago.

However, Taraba State Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku has commisserated with the family of the late Commissioner.

This was contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan Abu.

Ishaku described the deceased late Alexander Markus Senlo ā€œa grassroots politician and a loyal party man. An asset to our great party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDPā€

ā€œAs member of the state Executive Council, he made very useful contributions to debates, especially in areas that had to do with the extension of amenities to the rural populace. His death at this time has left a big gap that will be difficult to fill

ā€Gov Ishaku has, on behalf of himself, the government and the entire people of Taraba State, expressed deep sympathy to the family of the late Senlo and the entire people of Zing Local Government for this very sad and unfortunate development.

ā€Gov Ishaku prayed the Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal rest and the family he has left behind the fortitude to bear the lossā€ the statement reads.
