“Okobo kii b’imo si’tosi!”
(The Impotent’s offspring are never nearby or ever found. They are whereas scattered about, in some distant land- a Yoruba Proverb)
…another “Mugun-joyous” story! I swore to refrain from thinking about it or grant it the slightest, dissenting opinion publicly- for the fear of “Volatile-Muguns” that pecks ominously at the back of the mind! And there’s no known shield to safeguard anyone from the sharp teeth of “The Piranhas Of Faith!”
Sad that some of us still struggle hard with the truisms of “science, being God’s greatest tool”- even when it seems fuzzy and confounding at a given moment. Science, eventually, without a doubt and at its pace shall definitely get to it! But I sincerely and vehemently doubt if Science or God had any hand in this “Bible-birth” at Ila-Orangun! I think Pentecostalism is only pretty jealous of the “Quranic-birth” which preceded the Bible-birth by a year or two!
I could’ve believe this story if it was spun-off an Emu-Ogidi situation or, from a Palmwine palava- and “Palmy”, being a mystical mainstay of Ila-Orangun would’ve shed on it more credibility!
Otherwise this is another Okobo legend!” –
