Our lives by the design of God are delineated into different certain seasons. One of the gravest mindset a man can possibly posses is to believe that he has all time in the world to do as he pleases or to achieve and accomplish his aspirations in life. Most people want the product but they do not like the process, not knowing that time is the process of great products in life. We therefore need to be sensitized to know the seasons of lives, the time to enter and exit a phase in the journey of life, or else we may never live a fulfilled life. Our ability to understand our timing in life may be the tiny thread that separates our acclaim and accolade in life or the inauspiciousness of our entire life.
There are different stages to our existence in life. It is pertinent that we understand stages so as to help our aspirations and our assignment in life. Winston Churchill says “There comes a special moment in every man’s life, a moment for which that person was born. That special opportunity, when he seizes it will fulfill his mission – a mission for which he is uniquely qualified in that moment, he finds greatness, it is his truest hour”
Let us take a look at this scriptural perspective of what we ought to be doing with time at a particular stage of our existence in life. This I consider as a secret of life. From Age twenty (20) years and above! Numbers 1:20 says, “The sons of Reuben, Israel’s first born, their generation, by their families, by their fathers houses, according to the number of names, head by head, every male from twenty years old and upward all who are able to go to war.” By the standard of this passage, by the time a man is twenty years of age, he is eligible to be enlisted to fight in the army. If we bring it down to our contemporary world, this suggests that a twenty-year-old man or woman must have been able to access his or her bearing in life correctly and he must be aware of or at least entering into what his divine destiny carries.

It is very important for role models and mentors to guide their protégés into the fullness of their aspirations and destinies. Unfortunately, most of young people do not use this particular season of life wisely; peer group pressures and wrong aspirations, desire to flout along the currents of life as it comes has devastated what could have been a colorful destiny for some young people.
From Age thirty (30) years and above! Numbers 4:32 “From thirty years old and up to fifty years old, you shall number them, all who enter for service to do the work in the tent of meeting. This season is the prime time to be the best you can be in life. At this phase, you must have entered into the reality of what you have discovered to be your goals and mission statement in life. Though there are men like Abraham in the Bible, Colonel Sander of Kentucky Fried Chicken who started making progress in life very late, the reality of our generation is somewhat different. A man who in his thirties hasn’t discovered his bearings may be treading on unsure grounds. Life expectancy in this generation especially in developing nations may not be favorably disposed towards such a man.
Any man who misses his peak moment may end up in the pit of life. Therefore, let us take up the challenge to find the place of our calling early in life and begin to shine there. Life itself has a way of making room for resolute people. Find your place, play the part, shine in life, you would surely make it. Time well spent is the greatest asset to successful living. Every person under heaven is timed. Do all you can not to miss your finest hour!
Remember, great scriptural characters like Jesus Christ; Joseph; David among others, all entered the fullness of either their ministry or public service around this time, while they are 30 – 40 years of age. This season of life must be used to trade your gifts and expertise for profits, blessing the world thorough the products and services you create. If you understand timing, opportunity becomes a piece of cake you have for lunch. The quality of your life would eventually be determined by what you do with time during this cycle of life.
Please understand that we are stewards of time and know that we will give account of years we live on earth. It is therefore our responsibility to live our days with wisdom, know what is required to do per time and give our best shot and live out our fondest dream and aspiration. Keep on aspiring!
