The Peoples Coalition Party (PCP) has Third Force Rejects Election Results rejected the results of the 2019 presidential elections as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission
This was made known by the national chairman of the party, Chief Don Anthony Chukwuma Harmattan in a statement he personally signed.
The PCP is the party that came third in the February 23 presidential poll as dclared by INEC.
The party said it rejected the result after going through the submission of its agents.
The statement said, “The Peoples Coalition Party as the 3rd force in this election hereby reject in totality the result as published by INEC and declaring President Buhari as the winner.
We therefore call on INEC to release the results as obtained in the 120,000 polling units throughout the country or allow itself to be audited by independent auditors.”
It added, “having gone through the certified election results as issued to our agents and Coalition partners including observers throughout Nigeria, I wish to categorically state that we are still wondering from which heavens that INEC procured its result in declaring President Buhari as the winner of this 2019 presidential election.

“The result declaring President Buhari Winner of this election is a misrepresentation of the expression of Nigerians as voted, queuing up under heat of the sun to cast their votes in search of better governance in our democracy of which INEC owes NIGERIANS a primary duty to deliver what was cast in the ballot.
“In fact INEC result was a shocker to my party and to all Nigerians. It represents the most and worst form of crude irresponsibility in the conduct of elections since the end of the Cold War.
It is fictitious, frivolous, brigandious, unfounded and unacceptable to our party and the overwhelming good people of Nigeria that voted for our party.”
The PCP chair frowned at the result adding that, “‘a country where majority of Nigerians are not and cannot be seen rejoicing at the outcome of this election, yet someone is claiming victory. Isn’t that outrageous?”
Harmattan stated that if INEC had done its job as expected, the results would have come out better.
He said, “That notwithstanding that our party endorsed the candidacy of his Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the result so far published is a pointer that had INEC properly and accurately released the election results as expressed by the
Nigerian voters, the outcome would have been far better as our party officers and agents worked very hard at the grassroots to deliver.”
