Three Robbery Suspects Killed In Benue Community

Men of the anti-kidnapping squad, Code named “Puff Adder”, have killed three armed: robbers in Benue State.

Police spokesperson Sewuese Anene, a DSP, told reporters that the robbers mounted roadblock on Ihugh – Vandeikya highway and robbed unsuspecting motorists.

DSP Anene said on sighting the Puff Adder team, the robbers, who were seven in numbers opened fire on the police but they felled to the superior power of the police and three of them were gunned down and others escaped with bullets wounds.

The PPRO added that one suspect, James Abako, has been arrested in Gboko town.

She said Abako has confessed to be the brain behind many kidnapping activities in Gboko town and its environs and will soon be charged to court.
