Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan defeats world champion, Danielle Williams, becomes world’s fastest woman.
In a stunning display of speed and agility, Nigerian sprinter Tobi Amusan outpaced the world champion, Danielle Williams, to claim the top spot in the 100m hurdles at the Jamaica Athletics Invitational.
With a blistering time of 12.40 seconds (0.9m/s), Amusan not only defeated the reigning world champion but also solidified her position as the fastest woman in the world.
This remarkable victory marks a significant milestone in Amusan’s career, as she has now taken the lead in the world rankings, surpassing American Tonea Marshall’s previous world lead time of 12.42 seconds set in late April.
