The Nigerian Army Operations Media Coordinator, Col Aminu Iliyasu, stated this in a release on Saturday, adding that troops of 1 Brigade Garrison also raided a suspected kidnappers’ hideout at Dogun Karfe forest in the Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Iliyasu added that the troops recovered one AK-47 rifle, four magazines and 80 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, which were abandoned by the fleeing suspects.

He said, “The troops, while acting on credible intelligence, raided a suspected kidnappers’ den at Ihie community in the Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State. Two suspects, Umah Kingsley and Miss Chukwu Happiness were arrested. Items recovered during the operation include two empty magazines and a locally fabricated gun.
