It was an entertaining and thrilling game today at the Stamford Bridge as Chelsea battled from 4-1 down to secure a 4-4 draw against nine-man Ajax.
Frank Lampard’s side found themselves a goal down just two minutes into the contest as Tammy Abraham put the ball into his own net after swinging at Promes’ cross, sending it past Kepa.
Chelsea however were level two minutes later when Jorginho scored his first penalty of the night, after Christian Pulisic was brought down by Joel Veltman.
Abraham had a goal ruled for offside and Ajax went ahead in the 20th minute when Promes headed Ziyech’s cross past Kepa.
Ziyech was not done yet as his free-kick hit the crossbar, bounced off Kepa and into the net to hand Ajax a 3-1 lead.
The game appeared lost for Chelsea as Van de Beek picked up a loose ball and slotted past Kepa for their fourth of the night, but Azpilicueta prodded home from close range to bring the scores to 4-2.
