Failure by seven of the Burkina Faso players to secure visas for their match against the Super Eagles has led to the cancellation of the friendly by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The much-publicised clash, which was to hold tomorrow at Barnet in north London, is to serve as a warm up for the two neigbouring countries for next month Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

According to the NFF’s official, Mr. Chris Green, the cancelled friendly was “no fault of either the organisers or the Nigeria Football Federation.”
“We will announce further plans for the Super Eagles’ preparation for these two important qualifying campaigns in due course,” he added.
Burkina Faso officials were informed of the visa issues late on Friday.
In the first scheduled warm up match played on Thursday, the Eagles forced the Teranga Lions of Senegal to 1-1 draw, while Burkina Faso was beaten 2-0 by Morocco, also in a friendly on Friday.
