Singer, Jeremiah Oderinde, who recently released his fourth album titled, Shine your Light, has said that he is intent on reducing ‘worldly’ music in churches.
In a statement made available to Sunday Scoop, Oderinde was quoted to have said, “I have been a member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church (Ayo Ni O) for over 40 years. I grew up in the church, and I set out to praise Jesus Christ with my music. I was a member of the choir that made the songs, Oke Mimo and Apata Ayeraye.
“The most important thing on my mind is to make songs that will edify and glorify Jesus Christ.
“I want to reduce worldly music in our churches by providing diverse Gospel music that everyone can pick from. All the songs on the album are meant to minister to people.”
Songs on the album include Thank You Jesus, I have Jesus, Shine His Light, Psalm 121 and Judgement Day.
