Fast-rising Nollywood producer and actor, Richard Ameachi aka Richie has charged his colleagues in the film industry to step up their game.
The budding actor made this known in a recent chat with The Nation.
When asked what he would love to see improved in his industry, Richie said, “I would like to see new actors do well and producers improve in their production because we have a lot to work on graphics and effects.”
Richard has been part of several Nollywood projects that include ‘Tori Owo,’ ‘Escapade,’ and ‘Lockdown.’

Richie also took time to open up on how he combines acting with being a producer saying, “I am an actor and a movie producer it’s not really easy when you into acting and production because you have to make sure your production is intact and at the same time you will have to get your lines on set while acting”, he said.
Speaking on major challenges he faces as a movie producer, he said “I face so many challenges. A lot of people text you to ask for roles and if they’re not in the cast, they feel bad. Meanwhile, you can’t cast everybody in your production. You just have to pick the right people and if they fit in the role, cool. Financial challenge is another problem and also pressure can be listed as a challenge.”
