The book is engaging as it contains stories that are filled with suspense, appealing to both the young and old. In some of the stories, like The Fragrance Of Death and Awo May Twist, the readers are left wondering over the identities of the perpetrators of the killings, thus heightening the suspense.

Aside from containing entertaining stories, The Unscripted Illusions is didactic, as relevant messages are embedded in the stories, which discerning readers will dig out and apply in their day-to-day activities.

In the final analysis, The Unscripted Illusion is a great work of art by a young writer, who has shown traces of a master storyteller, giving Nigerians hope of producing more great writers. The novel is therefore recommended for all.
