A mother of three physically challenged children has been abandoned and neglected by her husband and family. Gladys is a 58-year-old is a petty trader in Osu but has been left in the dark after being burdened with the responsibility of taking care of three disabled children without any help. Gladys is mother to three disabled children , A report by Joy News indicates that she has been left all alone to cater for her children despite their current predicament.
According to her, she is stigmatized in the community she leaves in, as many who shun her company wonders how three of her five children are disabled. In a seven-minute video about her story, Gladys narrates how she manages to take care of her children.
She believes that the children are a gift from God and nothing will keep her from protecting them. Despite all the stigma from the society, the mother-of-five says she would not relent in taking any step to keep her children alive.
