*Introduction*

Supreme Chiefesis!
Distinguished elders and entities in comradium here present, Agbangs in this arena, I greet you in the spirit of unity and one Love!

It is with deep respect and nostalgic pride that I stand before this august gathering to reflect on a remarkable era in the history of our noble club — the Year 2000 Kegites Club Chiefesis.

This class of chiefesis, though twenty-five years gone, remains an unshakable pillar in the bridge that links the glorious old breed with the vibrant new generation of chiefs in the supreme comradium.

*The Bridge Builders*

The Year 2000 chiefs did not merely reign — they rebuilt. They did not just lead — they connected. Standing between the ancient gourd bearers and the dawn of the millennium chiefs, they served as bridge builders — blending tradition with transition, preserving the heritage while preparing the club for modern times.

They inherited the wisdom of the old and infused it with the energy of the new. Through their vision, discipline, and unwavering loyalty to the ilya, they sustained the rhythm of unity that still resonates across the length and breadth of the Kegites world today.

*Outstanding Achievements*

Permit me, distinguished guests, to highlight some landmark achievements that define the Year 2000 Chiefesis as a golden chapter in Kegites history.

1. *Friendship So Deep*
The bond of friendship among the chiefs was — and still remains — extraordinary. They shared not only the gourd but the heart. Their relationship went beyond meetings and gyrations; it was a deep brotherhood anchored on mutual respect, sincerity, and the genuine spirit of comradium.

2. *Unity and Conflict Resolution*
During their reign, no case, no allegation, no division was left unresolved. Every misunderstanding was settled with maturity and love. The Year 2000 Chiefesis believed that peace within the ilya was more valuable than any individual ego. They proved that leadership is not about command, but about understanding and harmony.

3. *Legacy of Amicable Settlements*
All pending cases transferred to their tenure were resolved amicably. They left no seed of discord behind. Their administrative wisdom restored unity, healed wounds, and strengthened the brotherhood.

4. *Sustained Conference Sealation*
Their conference sealation stands till today as a lasting symbol of their strength and integrity.
They famously sealed against the use of cigarette in gyration grounds, promoting a healthy, focused, and sacred environment for merriment.
Their decision ensured that no poison or smoke desecrated the sacred arena of palm wine fellowship. This legacy remains alive — respected by successive generations.

5. *No Aborted Coronation*
Unlike some eras plagued by internal conflicts and aborted coronations, the Year 2000 Chiefesis recorded none.
They took the interest of the ilya first, placing collective progress above personal ambition. That singular quality of selflessness cemented their place as true custodians of the calabash.

6. *Exemplary Leadership Harmony*
Their World Chief and National Chief were not rivals but best of friends throughout the regined. That friendship at the top trickled down through every rank of the ilya, fostering unity, coordination, and joy in service.

*Impact and Legacy*

To this day, the influence of the Year 2000 Chiefesis echoes in the rhythm of every gyration, the laughter of every fellow, and the pride of every ilya that stands united.
They redefined leadership as service, friendship as strength, and unity as heritage.

They taught us that while generations may change, the spirit of comradium must remain constant — pure, loyal, and vibrant.

*Legacy and Continuing Relevance*

The achievements of the Year 2000 Chiefesis continue to resonate in every ilya where order, unity, and respect for tradition still reign. Their leadership taught us that strength lies in friendship, power lies in peace, and progress lies in continuity.

However, as time evolves, every generation must renew its commitment to uphold and advance the ideals of the calabash. Hence, the Y2K Chiefesis — as bridge builders — must once again rise to address emerging challenges within the comradium.

*Tasks for the Y2K Chiefesis*

In the spirit of comradium renewal, the following key areas require the thoughtful attention and collective effort of the Y2K Chiefesis:
1. Abolition and Flushing Out of Secret Cult Members:
The club must remain sacred, pure, and free of any external influence or infiltration by cultists. The Y2K chiefs must advocate and assist in maintaining this purity.
2. Restoration of Old Norms:
Revive the traditional values of Kegites culture — including proper procession processes and timing, the correct one-finger salute, and appropriate dress codes. Let the new chiefesis be educated about these enduring customs.
3. Proper Coronation Procedures:
Ensure coronations follow laid-down traditions without compromise. The dignity of the calabash must never be sacrificed for convenience or speed.
4.Review of Sealation Use:
Re-examine the use and meaning of sealations to ensure they retain their sacred authority and relevance in modern comradium operations.
5.Review of Appointment of LSFs (Local Sober Fellows):
Develop clearer criteria and ethical standards for appointing LSFs, ensuring competence, commitment, and loyalty to the club’s constitution and culture.

*Conclusion*

The Y2K Chiefesis were more than a set of leaders — they were visionaries who built bridges of unity across generations.

As we celebrate them today, we charge them to once again rise as a collective force — to preserve the sanctity of our traditions, guide the emerging chiefs, and protect the noble heritage of our great club.

Let the bridge they built remain strong. Let their legacy continue to inspire. Let their friendship remain the model for all comrads to emulate.

To the Year 2000 Chiefesis — we salute your wisdom, your courage, and your unwavering commitment to the gourd.

One Love! One Gourd! Forever Supreme Comradium!
