You Are Just A Speck!

I took the picture 40,000ft into the sky, one evening during my recent trip. I was just curious and inclined to see how things were. I knew that I would not be able to see anything, yet I wanted to see!. What really struck my mind was how irrelevant everyone is no matter how important he/she may be from this view point. The whole earth was covered with thick clouds yet you are there irrelevant and unknown.

This opened my mind to how loving God is. In your tiny invisible room, on your submerged street, in a town and country that appears just like a dot from the sky, you will still kneel or stand to pray yet the good Lord will still hear you clearly and grant your requests. Apart from God, no other person knows that you exist. That means you are not more than a speck of dust, an invisible and irrelevant particle yet you boast, you pride in the whole world that does not belong to you.

How many people really know you on your street, how relevant are you in your environment, how important are you in your place of work. You are just a speck, why carry the whole world on your shoulders. You are expected to impact your immediate family and community positively. Unfortunately, you are of no value to yourself, you are hardly useful to your immediate family, yet you are striving to please the world. Are for real, is it for posterity or for what you want to grab?

Be known in your family for your kindness first, spread it to your extended family, be good in your neighbourhood before trying to impress the world. From the skies you are a speck, in your state you are a speck, in your country you are a speck. No wonder thousands die daily, many are homeless, many are under siege, no one noticed them because they amount to just a handful of specks.

I am sorry if this sounds offensive, but it will be better to show love within the little radius where you are important than to grab what will further disintegrate you and reduce you from speck to nothing. Irrespective of your status, God still cares about you. Impact someone’s life positively today. No help is too little or too much. Many people are now homeless and depressed, men are losing their respect because they could no longer meet financial obligations to their families, women are losing their virtues in order to feed their starving children, a lot of people are committing suicide because a speck failed to carry out his/her responsibility or a speck is sitting on their resources. The wind will soon blow away every speck, where will you land if you are blown away suddenly.
Love you always. Cheers.
