Senior Special Adviser on Social Investment to President Buhari, Alhaji Ismaeel Ahmed, has assured that the love and efforts of youths working for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari will not go unnoticed.
Ahmed who is also the Deputy Director Youth Mobilisation, All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council also admonished the various groups within the movement see themselves as one and consolidate on their efforts as significant units of a larger but single body with the sole aim of returning President Buhari to office in the coming elections.
He stated this on Monday in Abuja when he met with different youth support groups working for the re-election of Buhari.
“We are here to let you all know that your labour of love is recognised and that you are not alone in this movement.
“We are here to most importantly acknowledge all the efforts of various youth organisations that have been working tirelessly to ensure that good governance is sustained,” he said.
This, Ahmed said, the groups had been doing through their activities of mobilisation and advocacy for the re-election of President Buhari come Feb.16.
He noted that while some of the groups had been in existence longer than others, they all shared a common unflinching resolve to support the APC administration.
According to him, the groups had made sacrifices in various ways towards the realisation of the same goal.
He said particularly, the Nigerian Youth for Better Democracy, had paid the ultimate sacrifice during the 2015 elections and was still standing strong, with their support for President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
He through their different activities, the youth groups had proven that they had decided to be architects of their destinies and stakeholders of their future, siding with a government that had them at heart.
He, however, charged the groups not allow themselves to be hijacked or collapsed into another, adding that they should operate as their mode of operations dictates.
He assured the groups of the support of the APC Presidential Campaign Council which he said was critical to the actualisation of their common goal.
He also advised that the youth groups should remain steadfast with the APC administration, adding that better days was ahead of all Nigerians with the Buhari-led administration in power.
