The state’s chairman of the party, Alhaji Lawal Liman disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Gusau on Thursday, June 6, saying that his party members would continue to be law abiding citizens, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
A letter from our Editor-in-Chief Bayo Olupohunda “We believe that the victory of PDP in the state is God’s decision and we accept it in good faith, our concern is how the state could move forward,” he said.
He expressed sadness that some unknown persons were destroying APC billboards across the state.
He therefore called on the state government and the PDP leadership to sensitize their supporters against unruly behaviours. Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the APC had expelled the immediate past governor of Zamfara, Abdulaziz Yari, for allegedly scuttling the party’s chances in Zamfara.
In a joint statement signed by Alhaji Sirajo Garba Maikatako, the chairman of the APC in Zamfara state, and Muhammad Bello Bakyasuwa, the party’s publicity secretary, the political organisation said it also expelled the deputy national chairman (north), Lawali Shuaibu.
Shuaibu, the party said, was expelled for conniving with Yari to sabotage the National Working Committee (NWC) during the botched primary elections of the state.
