The Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Jimi Agbaje, has promised that his administration would make the development and wellbeing of the residents of the state his priority when elected into office.
Agbaje, who was speaking at a town hall meetings he held with artisans in three communities in Oshodi-Isolo local government area of the state, yesterday, also vowed to reorder the state back into the path of growth and prosperity.
He listed education, power generation and healthcare nurtured by an integrated insurance scheme as the core cardinal objectives of his government.
The politician, who was accompanied by chieftains of the PDP to the consultative meeting, also lamented that the state has underachieved since the current political order came into being almost 20 years with a vow to reorder the state back into growth and prosperity.

Those who accompanied him on the campaign tour include his running mate, Mrs Haleemat Busari, a former Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, some state officers of the party such as the publicity secretary, Taofeek Gani, the state youth leader, Niyi Adams.
While addressing his audience, which include artisans drawn from various vocations as well as scores of other stakeholders, Agbaje also took a jibe at the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state over its botched campaign flagoff on Tuesday.
Commenting further on the fracas that ensued during Tuesday APC flag off, the PDP candidate, who regretted the development which he attributed to misrule, said in Pidgin English that “Na dem know wetin dem dey fight for. Na their wahala be that. By May 29, dem go carry their load go.”
Agbaje also paid courtesy visits to some traditional rulers in the local government such as the Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka and the Elewu of Ewuland, Oba Shakirudeen Adesina Kuti.
He told the monarchs that the issue of human capital development would form the cornerstone of his administration when elected.
On education, he stated that “Under me, we will not have a situation where our school pupils will sit on bare floor, in schools without rooftop,” he said just as he lamented that the situation is quite unacceptable in the 21st century.
