Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said that it is hightime his government probed all the financial atrocities committed by the Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso administration in the state, in order to set the records straight for posterity to judge.
Speaking yesterday when he inaugurated 12 campaign committees at the Coronation Hall of the Kano Government House, the governor said all the necessary documents for the probing of the Kwankwaso government has been handed over to the EFCC for onward investigation.
According to him, the reason why he chose this time to expose the Kwankwaso government after serious pressure to do so by the populace, is because of the chain of lies the former governor is spreading during his recent political outings in the state and his vow to finish the 5-km roads he started and was abandoned.
“There were cases of embezzlements concerning projects such as the 5km roads embarked upon by his government where the monies meant for the projects were released and allegedly siphoned by Kwankwaso and his surrogates and later the projects were unfortunately abandoned till date,” Ganduje said.
