The Nasarawa State chapter of the All Progressive Grant Alliance (APGA) has suspended its chairman, Musa Saidu, for alleged anti-party activities.
Saidu’s suspension was announced in a statement signed by the APC public relations officer, Comrade Lucky Danladi Betusan.
He hinted that Saidu had dropped his senatorial ambition on the platform of APGA and shifted his support to Governor Tanko Al-Makura, who is eyeing the senatorial seat on APC platform.
“This is to bring to the notice of our esteemed members and the public that Hon. Musa Saidu is hereby suspended as chairman of APGA in Nasarawa State.

“The decision was reached during an emergency meeting of the State Working Committee (SWC) and the chairmen of 13 local government areas, held at the state party secretariat in Lafia, on Sunday, 17th February, 2019.
“The decision became necessary over his involvement in anti-party activities capable of undermining the successes of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
“Hon. Saidu Musa, we gathered quietly withdrew his senatorial ambition in solidarity with the APC senatorial candidate in Nasarawa South, Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura without consulting his party, APGA, for his personal gains,” he said.
