The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has appealed to Nigerians not to lost hope over the postponement of last Saturday’s elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), but pray for the outcome of the upcoming polls to be in the best interest of Nigeria.
Abdullahi, in a statement signed by his press secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, advised Nigerians to be calm and come out en masse on Saturday to vote for their candidates.

He also enjoined the people of the state and other Nigerians not to be demoralised with the development but continue to pray for INEC to overcome its challenges.
The lawmaker emphasised the need for the electoral umpire to puts its house in order before the new date to ensure the success of the elections.
Abdullahi noted that the postponement of the election was painful and surprising, but added that “there is the need for all to accept it as an act of God that will reflect the wishes and aspirations of Nigerians at the end.”
He further enjoined the electorate to pray for violence-free elections in the interest of peace and national development.
