The Chairman Senate Committee on ICT, Sen Abdulfatai Buhari on Thursday June 2nd donated a space bus to the Oke Ogun chapter of Nigerian Union of Journalists in Oyo State.
Buhari represents Oyo North Senatorial district, while presenting the car said the gesture is to encourage community journalism and information dissemination.
He said, “Journalists are my friend and I love their job. This is not the first car I am donating to NUJ, and I am doing this to enhance mobility of the media professionals covering my constituency so that there will be good flow of information”.

He however urged media practitioners in the country to be more constructive in criticizing government activities and help in the fight against corruption and injustice in the nation.
Oyo state deputy governor, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo while presenting the key to Prince Azeez Semiu Adewole led executive task the media practitioners in the country to be objective and enlighten the people of the need to exercise patient with the APC led government both at the Federal and State level.
Adeyemo however commended Senator Buhari for supporting the media practitioner in Oke Ogun, Oyo state and the country in general. Prince Semiu Adewole, the chairman, NUJ, Oke Ogun Federated Chapel in his response appreciated the Senator for the kind gesture and assured him that they will be partners in progress.
Saying, “This presentation is nothing but a signal that the distinguish senator is doing wonderfully well, going by the bills he sponsors in the house. We could all agree that he is not only representing his people he is also making serious contributions towards the advancement of everybody living in this country.
“Another thing that is worthy of emulation in him is that he is a God fearing man. Yes, he is a politicians but he is quite different from others. He priorities the need of his people and we are seeing the results ”
