The vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2019 general elections, Peter Obi has demanded accountability from the Federal Government and agencies in handling the COVID-19 funds.

Many individuals, religious organizations and unions and agencies have made contributions to the Federal government to help in the fight against Coronavirus.

Most recently, the European Union made a donation of €50 million to the Nigerian government to help the fight against the spread of the deadly coronavirus disease.

“It is essential that the government and concerned agencies remain accountable in the usage of funds raised to combat #COVID19 in Nigeria.

“In essence, Nigerians should be carried along on the inflow and outflow of #COVID19 funds – as well as a breakdown of all such expenses,” Peter Obi tweeted.
