Normal operations have fully been restored on the Escravos–Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) which was breached in Warri, Delta State, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited said on Monday.
The Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the NNPC Ltd, Andy Odeh, said operations on the pipeline was disrupted following the unexpected explosion on December 10, 2025.
As a result of the explosion, Odeh said the company immediately activated its emergency response, by deploying a coordinated containment measures to çurtail the impact to the environment.
The emergency response team, he said, worked tirelessly with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the damaged section was repaired, pressure-tested, and the facility safely recommissioned.
