The Green Party of Nigeria (GPN),Kebbi State Chapter has dissociated itself or any of its card carrying members of joining the All Progressive Congress in Kebbi.
A press release jointly signed by the Chairman GPN State Campaign Committee,Atiku Yakubu Alkali and the Secretary State campaign committee, Alhaji Yahaya Umar made available to journalist in Birnin Kebbi yesterday said those people who decamped to APC at Kebbi APC campaign rally in Gwandu town on the 26th of January, 2019 are not card carrying members of the party.

The statement reads “” The Green Party of Nigeria, Kebbi State chapter have unequivocally dissociated itself with the purported decampees to APC or any political party as they are not registered members of the GPN in the state.
“” Our party structures in the state are firmly in place and all our flag bearers for the gubernatorial, National Assembly and State House of Assembly at every level are busy mobilising voters at the grassroots to ensure victory of our party, the GPN in the state””
The statement further called on the electorates to disregard the purported decamping of what they described as ‘Political Entrepreneurs ” and come out in large numbers to vote for GPN.
It ended by appealing to INEC and other relevant stakeholders to conduct a free,fair and credible elections that will reflect the wishes of the electorates as anything short of that shall not be acceptable, as the party says it would explore all the remedies legally available to challenge it.
