A trader,Uche Eze, who owns an electrical shop at Kano road said many did not want distraction ” As you see many shops still under locked and key because many traders refused to come to town today Monday for business. They are monitoring results of the presidential election. Secondly, some are afraid that violence may erupt in Kaduna when the elections  result will be announced “

“I am really selling as only few of us show up in town  today. I sold today more than other days because, there is no competition. I pray there is no crisis in the state no matter the outcome of the presidential election. Election should not bring more pains to us,we have suffered enough violent conflict in Kaduna “

Another, shop owner, Mrs Felicia Okafor, said she will spend half day ” I am spending only two hours and I will go home to watch the presidential election  results announcement. To me, Nigerians should come out of this election strong by leaving together peacefully”
