A Kano State High court has fixed March 8, 2018 for the commencement of trial of a former Commissioner of Health, Dr Abubakar Ladan Yusuf.

Dr Ladan, a commissioner under the regime of Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso was accused of misappropriation of N47.8m.
The funds were meant for utility bills and other allowances for Kano state students at Mansoura University, Cairo, Egypt.
The former commissioner was arraigned for three-count charge boardering on corrupt practices.
