The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Diaspora USA has congratulated the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, on his 65th birthday, describing him as a symbol of integrity, prudent leadership, and good governance.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the group extended its warm wishes to Obi, praying for continued good health, wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as he continues to advocate for a better Nigeria.
The organisation commended Obi’s leadership qualities, saying his humility, accountability, competence, and commitment to public service have inspired millions of Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora.
According to the group, Obi’s vision of a Nigeria founded on justice, equity, transparency, accountability, and inclusive prosperity continues to resonate with citizens across ethnic, religious, and regional divides.

“Nigerians have continued to draw hope from Mr. Peter Obi’s exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication to national development. His commitment to responsible governance has strengthened the belief that a new Nigeria is possible,” the statement read.
The group also reaffirmed its support for Obi’s vision of a united, peaceful, and prosperous nation, urging Nigerians to remain committed to democratic values through peaceful participation, grassroots mobilisation, and issue-based politics.
It further encouraged citizens to embrace what it described as the “New Nigeria Door-to-Door Movement,” aimed at mobilising support for responsible leadership ahead of future elections.
“As our grassroots campaign continues to gather momentum, we encourage Nigerians to take the message of hope to every community, every household, and every eligible voter. Building a better Nigeria requires the commitment and participation of all,” the statement added.
The NDC Diaspora USA wished Obi a happy 65th birthday and prayed for God’s continued protection, wisdom, and strength in his service to the nation.
