“The wisdom we rely upon today is definitely derivative of a certain moment in the past. Our forefathers various, uncanny perspectives- an almost divine way of creating “wholesomely” new experiences always amazes me. They “looked” less, but observed more. A trait essentially necessary in any trade- including science, magic or just trying to hit hard at a Mugun’s pocket- even as a 419 fraudster.
“T’omode t’agba ni n’teriba f’alabe ifari”
“All kinds must sit in deferrence to the Barber”.
A short riddle from my past, furthermore illustrates the power in such uncanny observance.
“Kini n’kan Oba n’iko o? Abe ni o!”
“What is it that knocks on the King’s skull? A Barber’s Razor!”
Seeing is fundamentally different from Observing. For in diligent observation, situation unfolds symbiotically like the many thin layers of a bulbous Onion.”
-Odolaye Saburi Aremu, in a tete-a-tete with Wakilu, his son.
