Super Falcons striker, Desire Oparanozie, is excited with her performance in the first half of the 2021/22 French Division 1 Féminine as the league goes on break.
The Nigeria international has been one of the key players for Dijon this season scoring five goals and providing two assists in nine league games helping her side sit eighth in the league after 11 games.
Dijon have won three, draw three while losing five of their games.
Oparanozie is however impressed with her performance so far this season hoping that on their return from the Christmas break, they can pull up better performances to help the team improve their league position.
“Half season round-up (nine games, five goals and two assists). Time for a brief break and we go again,” Oparanozie tweeted.
The 27-year-old also hailed her team’s performance in their 1-1 draw against her former side Guingamp on Sunday. Oparanozie grabbed her side’s goal in the encounter in the 19th minute but a 52nd-minute goal from Heloise Mansuy ensured that both sides shared the spoils.
Good job today ladies, we keep working to get better,” Oparanozie added.
