PMB Reiterates Commitment To Fighting Corruption

President Muhammadu Buhari, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to fighting corruption to its lowest level, by recovering looted public funds and return them to government coffers.

Buhari assured that, no corrupt officials would scout free, if found wanting on allegations of corruption, no matter his position in the country.

The president stated this in Yola Thursday during campaign visits to the state.

He said, he would vigorously continue to pursue his administration’s Cardinal  principles of fighting corruption, ensure peace and economic diversification, until the country is placed on its right track, if voted for the term into office.

Buhari who admitted fighting corruption involves difficult processes, through court litigations, blamed past administrations for not completing PTF project initiated in the state.

In the fight against insurgency, he admitted that, people of the Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states, knew the feats achieved so far in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency, and vowed to continue to ensure its total elimination.

“It is unfortunate that PTF projects, I initiated with one of your son Salihijo Ahmad, has not been completed by past administration in the state.

“We would continue to recover stolen funds and return them to government by all means”.

“I was briefed by Lamido Adamawa Alhaji Barkindo Aliyu on the challenges of the state and I promised to look into the demand.

” We would continue to produce fertilizer to farmers and other agricultural inputs, hospital equipment to better the lots of the people of the country”.

Earlier, the national chain of APC, Adams Oshiomhole, faulted PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who is the son of the state, for enriching himself with tax payers money through establishing many companies.

Oshiomhole challenge Atiku to show people of the state, development he brought to Adamawa from 1999 to 2007, when he was Vice President of the country for eight years.

“There is no single borehole that was drilled by Atiku in thee Adamawa state.

“He only established AUN, Faro, Adama plast, Rico Gado, printing press among others to enrich himself. he explained.

Oshiomhole who lauded president Buhari for using instrument  of government to improve  lives of Nigerians, asserted that , leadership is all about charter and honest to the people while, urged the electorate  to vote for APC at all levels.

“Vote for Buhari and APC at all levels, because we don’t want him to surrounded by opposition’ during second term”. he maintained.

Gov. Mohammed Bindow lauded Buhari’s role in restoration of peace in the state, which he said is evident for the people of the state to vote him again.

Bindow further noted that federal government presence is felt all over the state, said more would be done if APC is voted again in the state.

The governor who lauded the turn out accorded to president Buhari, promised to produce two female senators from the state to ensure gender sensitivity.

“Am confident that APC would produce all APC senators, members house of representative, and for the for the first time two female senators from the state.

Comrade Mustpha Salihu, Vice chairman APC North- East, who representative the state chairman of APC Ibrahim Bilal, announced the defection of 27 opposition political parties to the ruling APC at the occasion .

The defector led by Alhaji Bello Babaji of All People Party of Nigeria (APN), promised to work for the successes of APC in the next coming polls in the state.
