Police rewarded man N1m after aiding re-arrest of ritual killer

MR. Thomas Gwom, the man from Plateau State, who helped the Rivers State Police Command re-arrest of the escapee Port Harcourt ritual killer, Ifeanyi Dike, has been given the N1 million reward money by the Command in Port Harcourt, weekend.

He narrated his ordeal in the hands of the suspect. This is just as the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Ahmed Zaki, noted that redeeming the pledge was to re-assure Nigerians of the Police’s readiness to collaborate with citizens in crime fighting.

Speaking after receiving  the money for the part he played in the re-arrest, Gwom noted that it was the grace of God that saved him when he had an encounter with Dike.

Dike killed and removed the organs of an eight-year-old girl, Chikamso Mezuwuba, and escaped from the custody of the state Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, after being paraded.
