QMA records over 1, 000 entries as auditions begin

The second edition of the Queen Moremi Ajasoro Pageant (QMA), competition has received over one thousand entries and the auditions will kick off from Monday October 30 to Wednesday November 1, at the Kings Palace in Enuwa, Ile Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.

This was disclosed to the media by the Ambassador and cordinator of pageant, Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, who is also the Founder of Nigeria Fashion Week Lagos and London. ‘‘All registrants are required to come to Ife for a chance to win N5m investment fund, they must be prepared to travel to Ife for one day audition only.”

Initiated by the Ooni Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, as part of activities to preserve and promote the legacies of the legendary Ife queen, the cultural beauty contest, is now in its final lap with the release of the auditions dates.

Ademuliyi explained “Contestants for the coveted crown would be given dates for auditioning in accordance with their registration. This year’s audition will take a new shape as it will entail such sections as a two hour QMA Women Mentorship programme powered by the House of Oduduwa Foundation in collaboration with the IWS International Women’s Society.

“Besides the N5 million investment fund, winner of the beauty pageant, which grand finale is billed for Lagos in November, will also be an ambassador of the Ooni, as she will accompany the royal father on his trips and events in and outside the country while she is also expected to carry herself with dignity and expose the characters and legacies of QMA in both her candour and public outings.”

She further promised the contestants a good time at Ife as she informed that all logistics for a successful and eventful audition sessions have been put in place while advising the beauty queens to travel with all that they would require to contest for the crown, insisting that only the best and worthy queens both in character and learning, who meet with the high standard of the competition would scale the hurdle.
