National chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, yesterday, called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to allow the reduction of votes in the Southeast.
He also called on the commission to intervene over the presence of foreigners during the presidential campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State.
Speaking at PDP campaign rally in Enugu State, Secondus warned that the votes of the Southeast must not be tampered with.
He said, “I want to call on INEC not to reduce the votes from the Southeast,” stressing that the region is a stronghold of the PDP.

Also speaking, the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, commended Ebonyi State for being steadfast in its support of PDP since inception.
“Let me also say that the people of Ebonyi State have been loyal to PDP and PDP has also been loyal to the people of Ebonyi State. All the facilities you enjoy in this state from your schools to the hospital, to your roads, to your wealth, to your prosperity and your jobs are all PDP.
“Having said that, I want to use this opportunity to promise you that Ebonyi will never again be marginalised in the Federal Government.
“Therefore, this is your best time, I appeal to you to come out in your numbers and vote for PDP.”
