Security Agencies Overstretched, Amotekun Effective In Ondo – Akeredolu

The Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, has declared that the Security Network Agency also known as Amotekun Corps has been effective in the state by filling the vacuum created by the overstretched conventional security agencies, particularly the police in the state.

Akeredolu, who noted that Amotekun Corps was a product of circumstance, said it was created to fill the obvious security gap in the state for the security of the people.

The governor spoke in his office while playing host to the participants of Course 30 of the National Defence College on Thursday evening.

He commended the military for ensuring peace and security in the country.  He added that his administration had been enjoying necessary support and cooperation from all heads of security agencies in the state.

The Commandant of the National Defence College, Abuja, Rear Admiral Oladele Daji, lauded the governor for his security and industrial strides.
