Ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Nigeria in Dar es Salaam on Saturday, 5th September, 2015, Super Eagles in their preparatory match won 3-0 against Amakson Academy of Abuja on Thursday, thus issuing a strong warning against their opponent Taifa Stars of Tanzania.
Tunde Adeniji, Super Eagles striker who played for Sunshine Stars FC Akure got brace in first half of the match while Godwin Obaje sealed the match by making it 3-0 few minutes to the end of the game.
Super Eagles’ Media Officer Toyin Ibitoye, said that the match against Amakson was one of the several tune-up matches lined up for the team as they prepare for Stars match.

Taifa Stars were in Turkey for an intensive training in readiness for the match. In a friendly match played on Friday with Libya in Turkey, the Stars were defeated 2-1. They were expected back in their country on Tuesday for the must win clash at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The Stars foreign based players will join the team when they return home. Expected to join them are Congolese side TP Mazembe duo strikers Mbwana Samatta and Thomas Ulimwengu and winger Mrisho Ngasa from South Africa Premier League side Free State Stars.
Stars players who are currently in Kertepe, Turkey camp include goalkeepers Ally Mustafa, Said Mohamed and Defender are Juma Abdul, Shomari Kapombe, Haji Mwinyi, Mohamed Hussein, Hassan Isihaka, Abdi Banda, Kelvin Yondani and captain Nadir Haroub.
Midfielders are Frank Domayo, Himid Mao, Mudathir Yahya, Salum Telela and Said Ndemla while strikers are Simon Msuva, Deus Kaseke, John Bocco, Rashid Mandawa, Farid Musa and Ibrahim Ajib.
